Day to day ways to protect our environment

Be mindful of what you throw away. Can it be donated? Can it be saved? Recycled? Composted? The dumpster should be the last resort. So much of what we use can be reused, and not just thrown away. Find out what you can do with all of the things you usually throw out to ensure that you are not wasting things that can be saved. Waste doesn’t magically disappear when you throw it out.
Don't leave chargers plugged in. Another small way to reduce your energy consumption. phone chargers and laptop leads constantly left in the socket will continue to use a small amount of electricity, completely uneccesarily. Take a second to pull them out.
Make sure to turn off the sink when you brush your teeth. You could save five gallons of water a day if you do.
Paying bills onlne instead of on paper. it saves 23 pounds of wood and avoids 29 pounds of greehouse gass emissions per household, every year.
